Position Summary:
The Chemotherapy Nurse is a qualified caregiver who assumes responsibility for patients currently receiving Chemotherapy. The nurse administers Chemotherapy, obtains vascular access for medications, educates patients on current treatment regimen, utilizes the nursing process to provide accurate assessments, and coordinates with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe and efficient healthcare with optimal patient outcomes.

College Diploma Nursing
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Nurse (RN) Illinois and Basic Life Support (BLS) and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC). Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification must be obtained within one (1) year of start date in position. Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must have a compassion for Oncology. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to multi-task to meet outcomes timely and efficiently.
