Position Summary:
                                                        This position is grant funded for two years, posting closing date 4/24/21

The Community Outreach Manager is responsible for oversight and coordination of outreach activities for the CARC Regional Leadership Center. The Community Outreach Manager works with the Director of Behavioral Health, Medical Director for Vermillion County, the project Principal Investigator, Grant Program Manager, associated researchers and other central administrators. This position is responsible for engaging community stakeholders and assisting with the building of coalitions throughout central Illinois to establish recovery oriented systems of care that allow for a coordinated network of community based services and supports for those with, or at risk of substance misuse.

Bachelor's Degree and five years related experience required.Master's degree preferred

Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance

Implementation and management of educational programs (training, professional development, recruiting)Ability to conduct needs assessments and utilize results to reach objectivesNetwork development with experience in medical and community educationCollaboration and identification with new and established coalitions, resources, agenciesKnowledge of educational theory, objectives and outcomes Ability to work independently and autonomously while communicating/reporting to team members

Program DevelopmentKnowledge of educational theory, objectives and outcomes, teaching, research, and data analysisAbility to conduct needs assessments to identify, and oversee through completion and evaluation, educational experiences for a variety of audiences Demonstrate leadership competency and ability to cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with multiple constituents inside and outside of the organization

  • Preform needs assessments to identify, develop, organize, and deliver educational programs, community events, and community meetings based on specific needs in multiple communities throughout designated region
  • Travel to various locations within the region for meetings, outreach, and other grant related activities
  •  Present grant program  materials to a variety of constituents including institution wide, regional collaborations, and national meetings
