Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs diagnostic testing and related responsibilities including appropriate collection and
preparation of specimens, working with infant/toddler, child/adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients, performance of
laboratory test procedures according to protocols using appropriate instrumentation, and evaluation of information
taking appropriate action as needed without supervision. Demonstrates understanding of scientific theories and
techniques of procedures performed.
Qualifications:
Will also consider Associates in Medical Lab Technology
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree and graduation from a Medical Technology/MLS program.
CERTIFICAITON/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTSÂ
ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) within 1 year
Essential Functions:
Performs simple, moderately and/or highly complex analyses with accuracy and precision, understanding basic and complex principles of methodology.
Correlates various clinical laboratory test results, applies these results to clinical conditions and recognizes accepted normal ranges
Applies the necessary principles to deliver quality outcomes which include Quality Control and Continuous Quality Improvement methods
